The Marble Arch Caves are one of Europe's
finest show caves allowing visitors to explore
a fascinating underworld of rivers, waterfalls, winding passages and lofty
chambers. There are guided
tours of the caves, including an underground boat journey (weather permitting)
daily, lasting approx, 1hour 15
minutes. These boat trips are suitable for people of any age and of average fitness.
The reception area at the Marble Arch Caves incorporates an informative display
area, lecture theatre, souvenir shop and snack bar.

The line
opened in 1887 and was closed in 1959. It has been lovingly restored as a fully
operational steam railway. Today, half a mile of railway has been rebuilt to a
temporary terminus at Clooncolry. It's a good day out for all the family to

Ireland. This centuries old
